We’re excited to have two full-time summer roles open, for youth ages 15-30 supported through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. These are 8-week summer job (35 hours a week) starting (ideally) June 6th. These roles are open to Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.


Marketing Assistant

At Soak Wash Inc., we make laundry soap for delicate clothing. Our office environment is fun, fast-paced and friendly.

Job Overview
We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our team over the summer. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we’d love to work with you.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan and execute social media content
  • Social media community management
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
  • Monitor and advise on customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Implement Marketing systems organization on various platforms
  • Carry out administrative and data entry-related tasks, and maintain organized files for marketing team
  • Assist in copy and asset management for new website
  • Assist in  lead generation collaborations and research new opportunities
  • Assist in projects with photographers, copywriters and marketing agencies as part of our internal marketing group
  • Researching consumer trends, market analysis and opinions to inform marketing strategy as needed
  • Other appropriate tasks as needed

Qualifications/Skills

  • The ability to work both independently and with the team
  • Self-Starter and willingness to learn new programs and systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Prior knowledge of marketing strategies and business goals
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop a bonus.
  • Familarity with content creation software
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a passion for marketing
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities
  • Fluency and mastery of written and spoken English. Additional languages a bonus.

    Job Overview

    Administrative Assistant to join our team for 8-weeks during the summer. If you’re an ambitious individual who his looking for career development mentorship, then we’d love to work with you.

    You’ll be working with our leadership team to transition to Soak’s new office space following a growth spurt and company location change. As part of our team, you'll learn about our systems and suggest your own to plan, make decisions, solve problems and interact for the growth of the company.
    Become an expert in the systems, processes and workflows of the office and learn about overall business operations. This will contribute to improved leadership skills as you become a more responsible person. Perfect for career development.

    Department Managers and CEO

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Communicate with all team members to support the office staff in settling into the new space
    • Performing general data entries
    • Oversee the organization of supplies, materials and processes
    • Update systems for the warehouse and office
    • Receiving and reviewing correspondence to the office
    • Maintaining office filing and storage systems and organizing, documenting and saving the systems online using both company owned systems and external support programs such as Humi and Asana.
    • Other appropriate tasks as needed
    Qualifications/Skills
    • Oral and written communication skills
    • Self-Starter and willingness to learn new programs and systems
    • Friendly, approachable manner when greeting others on the phone or in-person
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Technically savvy –Proficiency with office software like Microsoft Office Suite and other programs/systems and knowledge of standard office equipment
    • Efficient typing
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work with a variety of personalities
    • Ability to prioritize tasks

    Please note:

Those who have either not disclosed their vaccination status or have chosen not to be fully vaccinated, will be required to comply with regular testing and providing proof of a negative test result at frequent intervals, at their own expense.
